(Please be patient while page is loading, it may take a few secs...) In spring of 1997, this is what my backyard looked like. After a thorough cleaning, and the construction on a fence, the yard was ready for the pool. Would you believe that it fit in just a few boxes. In the beginning of May, Jay (the pool guy) and his father marked out the yard, then they dug out the dirt. After 1 complete day on the job, they finally had a level foundation. (They leveled if for hours to get it just perfect.) The next day, they assembled the main walls and cemented them in. After lunch they assembled the end walls). (The pool is held together like a barrell, notice the 2 big cables.) After the walls were in place, they put in a foam protective barrier, filled the base with sand and leveled it. This was followed by the installation of the vinyl liner. Finally the pool was ready for water. It took over 36 hours to fill! But it was well worth the wait. |
